I just got the latest version and now I cannot see any winamp video or music in the list anymore. Has it disappeared for everyone? Ive tried closing and restarting it a few times but it isnt showing up anymore.
Can anyone help please?

From the FAQ...

Shoutcast Internet TV/Radio or Winamp Music etc views not present in 5.2

I dont mean the shoutcast stuff, i have that. There used to be 2 others in the list simply called "winamp music" which were music tunes, and "winamp video" which had only music videos with some AOL live sessions mixed in. They are gone and I cant find the music videos. I have everything checked in options, but the ones i mentioned are not in options. Where did the music vids go?

Does anyone know?? Its been over a month since I posted this. I want to watch some music videos and I dont see how to do it except to search. And the seach always brings up a popup box that says connecting to host, but it never does, so I have to click the abort button.
HOW DO I SEE THE MUSIC VIDEOS?????

WindowsXP
AMD 3200+ 2.2ghz
1024 ram
ATI Radeon 128meg vid card
RealTek AC97 audio

Here is a pic of what my options are. Hope this works.

It used to have 2 more options that said "Winamp Video" and "Winamp Music". They disappeared since last update.

Winamp Video and Winamp Music are both merged into just "Winamp Music".

Do you not see Winamp Music in the right pane of the "Online Services" root view?

The original poster is correct. I've noticed the lack of the "Real" videos as well. All thats in that Winamp Music is audio only, no videos. Which totally sucks. I loved watching videos on the side while working, now I just get audio, and the selection of audio only is far less than the videos that were online. I wonder if winamp or whoever hosted them quit or if it is just the newer WinAmp versions that have removed it. Downright maddening!

I want to see Shania again!! And the rest too, of course...

And it IS NOT a issue with his or my hardware. I've installed the new WinAmp on multiple PCs. No more videos on any of them.

You have it? Want to lose it? Uninstall WinAmp completely, download the new version, install it. Wha-la, no more videos for you. Now we are all happy.

I was looking the the Version history:
Version 5.04
added Winamp.com Audio&Video views in the Media Library

That is what is now missing. The original poster and I do not want audio only, which is apparently all that is offered now. probably lost the functionality so some companies can make money chargin for subscriptions.

afaik, the video streams are only available in Winamp to users in the USA :-(

You can still access them via www.winamp.com/videos

and you can also manually edit winamp\plugins\ml\ml_online.ini
to include a link to said url

(see "Winamp Videos" view in my screenshot above).

Ok, I dont see how to edit the file you mentioned.
Matter of fact, the only .ini I see is:
ml_win_media.ini

Let me go grab newest version and see again.

I am from the USA. I uninstalled and reinstalled winamp. I now have a "Winamp Music" selection, which I enabled. But the videos are all mixed in with them. Theres no way to tell what is video and what is audio. Theres also no way to see a list of videos, or sort them by date added or alphabetical order. The only way is to use the search box and when the results come up, click every one of them to see which are video. Nothing in the description says video or audio.
The older version was way better. You simply click the "Winamp Video" option, they all popped up on the right from A-Z so you can browse through the list and see if anything sparks your interest, and you could click the date added tab to see the newest additions. Since this latest addition I think Ive used winamp maybe 5 times, mostly trying to get the winamp music option to show, whereas I was a daily user before.

Winamp makers, PLEASE put some way of sorting and viewing the vids! It was alot of fun entertainment before, now its downright frustrating!

"Theres no way to tell what is video and what is audio"

Audio streams have an audio icon next to them.
Video streams have a video icon next to them.
Seems quite straightforward to me.
