Are you using Winamp3?

There are no Winamp3 files. The "Winamp 3 file" is just an association to Winamp3, meaning Winamp3 is the default player for those files. MP3s are still MP3s, WAVes are still WAVes (etc and so on). You can unassociated files by...
1. Winamp3 > Ctrl+P (for Preferences)
2. System > Media
3. unselect the file type(s) you don't want Winamp3 to be associated with or the default player for.
4. close out of Prefs > close & Restart Winamp3

Otherwise, Winamp3 is "dead" and no longer supported. If you need help that is specific to Winamp, please install Winamp 5. You don not need the Pro package if you don't want it. Be sure not to install Winamp 5 over the Winamp3 directory/folder. You may want to see Guide to "sidegrading" from Winamp3 to Winamp 5.

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.
