reloaded Win98SE...

I recently had to reload Windows, and now whenever I download a skin, it never shows up in the skins menu. The download screen appears, the file transfer bar times out, it tells me I'm downloading, but that's as far as I get. The skins just seem to disappear, and searching my files for them comes up with nothing. I'd appreciate any ideas/suggestions. Thanks.

hay man i had that same problem for awhile check it out i dont know how to fix it BUT.... ill tell you what it is probably doin ..... it will dl to a temp file next time you dl a song look at where it dls to it is probably a temp file.... i know that aint much help but at least it will help you diagnose the problem and help you get a solution.... with my pc i never did fix it i ended up gettin a new pc so i didnt have to worry bout it no more man if you have aol go into the special intrest/mac or pc room there are some good people in there they can help you....late man and good luck....when you do figure it out can you post it in here so i can see what the hell to do just...im hella curious....thanx man

First off... YOU ACTUALLY WILLINGLY PUT A WINDOWS PROGRAM ON YOUR COMP? hehe, sorry about that... Try looking at your [Internet Options] under the control panel. Check the box that says [Notify When Downloads Complete] under the advanced tab. This should bring up a new window when you are done downloading, and I believe fromt here you can open or save it.

Hi, I also have the problem with the skins, I download them and they are not there, I tried everything, also what Mad_Bovine suggested, that didn't help, either. Does anyone else has any other suggestions, please? It always worked, but I had to reinstall windows98SE, and since then it just doesn't work...thanks so much for any help on this.
