port forwarding not setup on your router etc? Never streamed before with a router in the way? You need to do more configuration of your hardware to let the shoutcast servers 'see' the stream. http://www.portforward.com pick the router/modem you have, then shoutcast and you will see a walk through

Any NAK errors related to not 'seeing' your stream are realted to any of the following.

1- Firewall on PC
2- Port forwarding not working, not setup or not supported.
3- Web proxy. cant stream behind a proxy
4- ISP blocking port, or application (some do that now).

Now if everything is setup and you see yp.shoutcast.com touched that is fine. However do not rely on shoutcast.com listing to indicate that you are truly up.

HtTp://localhost:8000/listen.pls is one example of the link that points to a stream. Replace localhost with your IP address listed on the internet (see portforward again), this address is for listeners not for YOU to test. You use localhost or the PC's tcp/ip address (ipconfig /all, or ifconfig on linux).

Good luck.

Read and search the forums tons of posts, oer 736 pages, so SEARCH and read the stickies that answer most of HOW-TO stuff
