Connecting through a VPN tunnel
Before I upgraded to the newest version of Winamp, I was able to listen to the aol xm radio through my vpn, after upgrade, I am no longer able to do this. Is it still possible to do? Thank you.

Well I would hope so, its works for me, I used PPTP to a Windows 2003 based VPN. Had to do this since the firewall I say behind didnt have port 8000 allowed, but with the VPN viola.
Perhaps the station you listen to is no longer around ? Or is the admin of the VPN I would take it up with them and determine if the firewall rules changed. It shouldnt matter to winamp if you used a vpn or not. ~ D ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. ![]() search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. |

I wouldnt think so, I can use winamp when I am not vpned in, just not when I have my vpn tunnel up. The only thing that changed was the upgrade. Weird.
