Onto the Scale (bands that sucked but got progressivly better)

Anyways. What bands, in your opinion, started out being absolute shit but just got better and keep getting better?

I have two to enter.

Paradise Lost. They started out as mediocre Doom/Death growl metal and continuously evolved through Heavy/Doom Metal, through kind of a Depeche Mode phase and into Goth Rock.

The Gathering. Started out as really, really slow, boring doom metal, then ditched their Singer for Anneke and turned Prog Rock. They just get better every release.
