Punkradiocast.com stream not working?

hi everyone, bit of noob just lookin for help.

I really enjoy the stream on http://www.punkradiocast.com, and would like to listen to it through winamp, but cant because when i click on the broadband link, it brings up a .pls file in the browser (firefox), which has this in it:

[playlist]
File1=http://high.punkradiocast.com:8000
Title1=PRC LIVE [ PunkRadioCast.com ]
Length1=-1
NumberOfEntries=1
Version=2

this is linked at www.punkradiocast.com/high.pls and i tryed copying this into winamp's url play thing, and it just keeps saying connecting. can anyone help me play this in winamp?

i emailed the tech people at the station, and they told me they fixed it, and to post the new playlist here. so, for your enjoyment:

[playlist]
File1=http://high.punkradiocast.com:8000
Title1=PRC LIVE [ PunkRadioCast.com ]
Length1=-1
NumberOfEntries=1
Version=2

so could you give me some help with this? it's still not working for me

Then they didn't fix it. Their web-server is not sending the proper Content-Type header for the PLS file. It is saying that it is text, so Firefox displays it as text.

Copy and paste the URL from the Text file you have into Winamp's Menu > Play > URL.

http://high.punkradiocast.com:8000

Or drag and drop the above link on to Winamp's Main window.

You can Bookmark the station once you have it playing

i tried that already, and it just says

[connecting] http://high.punkradiocast.com:8000/

forever then times out!

i've opened the appropriate port on the firewall i use (crappy windows firewall) and it still doesnt work.

Just tried it for half an hour here, no probs.

Don't know what else to suggest then.
Are you willing to try with the firewall off, etc.
I assume the problem is just this station.

wanna hear something ironic?

the nice tech man gave me 2 alternate stream urls that worked, and they all go to the same place, and he says that (yesterday) there were 3200ish people using winamp, so it must be my player, as any other playlist on the internet plays just fine.

God knows whats going down, but at least i got it playing now.
