Very strange Winamp problem
Hello!
I have a very akward problem with Winamp. When I install the latest version of Winamp, everything is ok. Next time when I want to start the problem, Winamp 'hangs' and waits for 1 min. to start playing a song. When I want to skip one song, it's ok. Then again, when I want to skip a couple of songs the same problem occurs. Winamp hangs for a minute or so. Very disturbing. This also happens with *very* old versions of WA. Winamp V. 2.95 also does this. The strange thing is also that a 2.00 version *is* working. My systemspecs: Laptop Windows XP: home Edition (SP2) Intel Pentium M processor 1,73 ghz ATI Mobility Radeon X700 XL (Graphic card) MATSHITA DVD-Ram Samsung HCJ100m Harddisk (100 gb) Realtek High Def. Audio I've done a search, but I couldn't find a thing. Thanks in advance for all the help! |

When I choose song manually out of my playlist, it's ok. But isn't really here who knows anything or could give me a link to a topic which discusses this problem? Please, you would really help me out.

Try the DirectSound config tweaks. Close & restart Winamp after the DS tweaks. Although not necessary, you may also want close Windows and reboot the computer. Some users have found changes to DS don't fully take effect until a reboot.
