Winamp Stops.
I run a Shoutcast server for several clients. Here is the issue: clients are reporting that their listeners are getting drop outs.
At first glance, this seems simple - network issues. But here is the kicker: there are no rebuffering issues, and when listening in Windows Media player, this issue is non-existent. Winamp acts like someone simply clicked stop. When you click play again, it starts right up. The encoder/server never drops. Upload/download speeds on the client as well as the listener machines is good, usually great. Winamp simply stops. I tested this myself first hand and the same thing happens to me. For reference, I am using the newest version of Shoutcast server and Winamp. Any ideas what could be forcing Winamp to drop/stop? |

Should move this to the winamp forum, sound like and application problem with winamp and not the shoutcast source.
