Does anyone have a late revision copy of DSP 1.8.x ?
A very nice, fellow forum user provided a link to DSP 1.8.0 so I could have access to some lower bitrates than DSP 1.9 has available.
I would like to find a copy of the final versions of the DSP 1.8 series (DSP 1.8.12 or 1.8.9) but I have had no success in finding one. Does anyone have a link to either of these? Thanks in advance for any assistance. |

Thanks for the reply Mr. afformentioned really nice fellow messageboard user.
I'm hoping someone from WinAmp/Shoutcast may take pitty on me or that another user might still have their copy of the installer file. ::: Crosses Fingers ::: |

well the developers dont use the forum
and most of the old school winamp/shoutcast team has moved onto something else with other companies. That link I posted is the installer, and well its even only supports 24k as the lowest. I installed it and winamp 5.21 shows that I had shoutcast 1.82b installed, but alas the bit rate isnt lower than 24k To help support my dialup listeners I stream MP3 and AAC+, the AAC+ is streaming at 8k, 8000 , mono (sounds horrid but works), but limits the listeners to winamp only when listening to AAC streams ~ D ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. ![]() search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. |

1.8.0 was the last one to use the Windows codec, which had the lower bitrates.
1.8.2 on was a switch to useing LAME instead, which had a mimimum of 24kbps. There is always Oddcast. |
