dps/dj issue
ok i'm behind a router and i have ther server working PERFECTLY on my computer. this isn't the problem. My friend wants to dj so i thought i would have him use my server. i'm trying to use the ip address that pops up on whatmyipaddress.com, i tried the one listed on my computer (tcp/ip thing) NOTHING is working. any suggestions?
maybe i'm telling him to type it wrong? |

he needs to use the address that whatismyip.com showed you, however you need to port forward through your router. http://www.portforward.com will show you how to setup your router to support shoutcasting.
Also disable any firewalls on the DJs pc and yours as well. ~D ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. ![]() search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. |

What the IP address and port (from whatismyip)
if the shoutcast DNAS pages doesnt load for me or others, then your port forwarding it NOT working. plain and simple if everything was working correctly the DJ could connect. So just post the IP address and what port you are on. I can see if its open ~ D ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. ![]() search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. |

OK I found out what my problem was. It had to do with the SrcIP and not the forwarding.
Thank you for your help though. |
