Call-ins while streaming on shoutcast

I do a once a week sports-talk streaming audio show at www.tpsradio.net called The Shift. I use Audacity in the stereo mix mode on my sound-card, so far so good until a caller calls-in. I field calls with Skypein, the calls are forwarded from Tps Radio's toll-free number to my Skypein number, however being in Stereo Mix on Audacity is causing MAJOR echo issues when I talk to my caller. Question: Is it possible to have the call come to my regular phone, and then connect a 2.5mm jack to the headset jack on the cordless phone, then run that 2.5 into a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter. The I would run a 3.5mm on one end, split RCA jacks on the other to my mixer, which is a Yamaha MG10/2.Then Rca jacks from the out on the mixer to a single 3.5mm jack to the line in on my computer tower. Will this work? I can speak to the caller on the phone while I speak into the phone and mic and listen to the response the same way basically---Ideas?---Input?--Thank you so much for your help-Bob Merc-The Shift

well on our call in , we connect the the phone into the mixer board (external mixer) so we have a channel dedicated for the phone and just turn up the volume as needed.

You can buy or build a simple device that you can have a 3.5mm plug on one end and a RJ11 jack on the other , the rj11 connects to the phone line and the 3.5mm jack connects to the mixer boar (or use RCA connectors).

We also do this with a cheap speakerphone, kinda lame sounding holding one of the mics to the phone, but no each with either setup.

I see complaints all the time about echo when using skpe.
