New to Winamp Trying to Use Viz Plug-ins

After looking for twenty minutes for an FAQ on how to download and install Visualization plug ins or access the ones that are in program file /winamp /plug i gave up and have to ask you guys. I download install and then what?
I do not want to design a visualization I just want to play some!
If there is a step by step every term explained instruction somewhere please point me to it. Otherwise could someone please explain it and then post this somewhere prominent to save others the hassle.
Thanks M2mm

Did you download an AVS (Advanced Visualization Studio) preset or a visualization plug-in?

Most visualizations and/or AVS presets should come with an self installer. Just run the installer. After installation run Winamp and go to Plug-ins > Visualizations to select the plug-in. If it an AVS (Advanced Visualization Studio) preset, start AVS and right click on the AVS window to select the preset. AVS is Winamp's own custom configurable vis plug-in. Presets are the "instructions" for the pretty lights.

Some visualizations are some "multi media player" or "stand alone" apps/plug-ins, which will place icon in the tasktray (systray) rather than show up in the Winamp > Plug-ins list. visualizations.
