CDDB not installed
Ok Ive already done a dirty uninstall and a clean install and still I keep getting this message whenever I pop in a CD for it to be recognized.
I have Winamp Pro, and I am not on any kind of firewall. Ive reinstalled it now about 10 times and still nothing. Interesting enough, whenever I reinstall my PRO, with the upgrade link, it never once asks me for the Registration Code. Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated. Why do I keep seeing "CDDB not installed"? The configure window on .cddb.dll shows that the "CDDB components are not installed". Hope thats enough information. |

Please check for the following files in your ...\Winamp\Plugins\ folder :
CDDBControlWinamp.dll CDDBUIWinamp.dll in_cdda.dll If they are present - delete them and reinstall. If they are not present - Reinstall and make sure 'CDDB for recognising CDs' is checked in the installer options. UJ |

CDDB not installed
Yeah Ujay, I just tried to do that but to still no effect. It actually says im Ok before I put the CD in under the configuration window of in.cddb.dll. But as soon as I do put the CD in, it comes back to CDDB compenents not installed. And I get that pesky message again.

Not sure then. Is there any reason you can't write to the registry ?
Best bet is a complete clean uninstall/reinstall, and make sure you only have the default plugins to start with. Backup and install instructions are here(try and read the whole post ![]() http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....29#post1212729 UJ |
