i need info on winamp

i am doing a paper on winamp as software proposal for a company but all i find is info on the company (nullsoft)and their lawsuit..i need techincal stuff... if you can help

if i can get help on the following:

* hardware requirements
* licensing
* upgradability
* cost

also stuff like the features on winamp especially the plugings...can i burn cds..can i convert to different music formats..?? stuff like that..

any help is greatly appricaited

1. hardware requirements: sound card, speakers, not sure what else...

2. licensing: winamp is freeware

3. upgradability: new versions are released regularly and can be downloaded from the winamp website.

4. cost: nothin...=]

5. plugins: there are thousands of winamp plugins available that expand the features of winamp infinitely. burning cds and converting to other formats are just two of the more basic ones. basically, you can find a plugin to do anything, more or less.

In addition, plug-ins allow Winamp to play many different formats, crossfade/mix songs, decode files to wav, apply effects to the sound, add visualization effects (windowed or fullscreen), among other things.
