.m3u and .pls files....difference?
This is a question about AOL Radio with XM.
OK, bear with me...I'm a newbie. When listening to some of my favorite XM music channels....I would like to save some of them. 1.) I'd like to make a desktop Icon that I can click on and have Winamp open to that channel. 2.)I'd like to create some listings in the "Media Library" under 'Playlists'....so I can click between a few different channels. Can someone tell me how to do these? Also, when it comes to streaming audio, such as AOL/XM....what is the difference between a .m3u and a .pls file? Wouldn't they be the same thing for streaming audio? I am using ver v5.13 (I tried the newest version but had trouble finishing the install.) Thanks! |

1) Load the channel in the playlist editor, and save the playlist on the desktop. Or save the playlist somewhere else and create a shortcut to that playlist and place the shortcut on the desktop.
2) Create a playlist and put the channel you want in that playlist? Or do you mean something else? Difference M3U vs PLS: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=65772 In your case it doesn't really matter what format you use, I guess... |
