So all of a sudden, Winamp won't play any of my cds. It recognizes each track, track time, and through cddb the track names. I press play, and the timer is ticking, the play progress bar is moving, and all other visual indicators are that the cd is playing. But no sound.
I was just doing this yesterday, and have done it hundreds of times. What's up? I have run all checks on the cd drive; with another music player software, it plays fine; if I press play on the drive itself, it plays. Only through Winamp does it fail to play (though it used to just fine). Any suggestions??? |

Ya mean this thread:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=41042 However, the soundcard surely must already be connected to the CD-ROM drive if other software players are working okay . . . yes, no, maybe? Best things to do would be: 1. Check that the Volume slider is up high enough in the main Winamp window. 2. If the EQ is enabled, make sure the preamp slider is up high enough. 3. Make sure AudioCD level is up high enough & not muted in Windows Volume Control. |
