Nero and slow loading

I installed the Nero OEM suite that came with my DVD writer and now Winamp takes quite a while to start playing after accessing media files. I uninstalled it and it seemed to help. The problem is that I really need to be able to access the software. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check your system tray (that area by the time), are there any new icons installed? Nero has a few media manager programs (like Nero Home). One of them might be trying to scan any media file opened.

Anyways, try a full uninstall and reinstall and post full system specs if the issue persists.
