regarding any cookies or virus associated

hello guys,
I am new to winamp and am curiously wanting to know if I should buy an antivirus program or such thing nefore I download songs from this site.I am just being anticipatory in my actions since I have no idea if any virus can , if at all, affect my pc in any way through winamp.

You should have a virus scanner anyway. Winamp will not get you a virus, but you still have to worry.

//Don't by McAffee or Norton. They use up far too many resources. I've heard Panda, NOD32, and AVG are all good.

Thankyou very much for the prompt reply.
I know its wrong topic and wrong Q, but still if you dont mind can you please let me know what virus scanner should I use .I have a sify connection as my cable provider.It has a virus scanner which I dont think is of much use since it is a complimentary offer.Which ought to be the best antivirus.Can I download any from the internet.I would appreciate if you please give an answer.
