Keep "now playing" screen

Ello, I have a question regarding the "now playing" screen (I think it's called that), which some plugins have when winamp starts up and a song is played. This screen shows some track info and then disappears. My question is: can I keep this screen, so that it doesn't disappear? If so, does it take advanced scripting? Thanks in advance

Do you mean the little "bubble" at the lower right of the screen? If so, that is the Notifier (Notification window). It is a feature of the Default Modern skin and there are options
Main/Player window > CONFIG drawer > \Options/ tab > scroll down to Notifications
There are options to control the display and fade length, however there is not a option to make the display indefinite. Press the more -> button to set the display & fade length.

There are some other modern skins that also have a notification bubble...
It will vary, try the right click menu or Ctrl+P > Skins > Modern Skins > Current Skin tab > Skin Options menu botton. -or- In the Winamp main menu (right click on "empty space" on skins or click Main Menu button in title-bar), there may be a Notifications item. Other skins may have a Config/CFG/Options/OPT button in the main/player window.

Thanks, there was an option "always" avialable. Is there also a possibility of holding the screen at a custom place? So you can drag & drop it and let it stay there if you select a new song? I can only select "always on left" or "always on right" and so I can only manually hold the screen vertically correct.

The Notifier is a feature that is "built in" to some modern skins. Options for the Notifier will vary with the current modern skin (if it has one).

The are also Notification or OSD style plug-ins that will work for all skins regardless. Toaster is one of the highly suggested plug-ins.

Is sounds like you are look for a option to display an notification consistently instead of just when the track changes. I don't think there is a mod skin (with notifier) or notification plug-in that has that option.
