stream doesnt stream

Hello,
after searching the forums for two hours now, I decided to post my problem. Maybe the solution is already out there, but I didn't find it.
I just downloaded Winamp Version 5.22, and to be sure everything works, did a clean install as described in this forum. But there is this persisting problem, that when I want to connect to a shoutcast TV or radio stream via the media library, it doesn't work most times. To be more specific, the little grey window pops up and tells me some different things like connecting etc. until it says "reading http response" - after that, everything gets silent, the grey window disappears and nothing else happens.
In few cases I get the message "[server full]" in the playlist, but much more often just nothing happens. Then again, sometimes I get what i wanted (one out of thirty attempts).
I switched my Windows Firewall on and off and it didnt change anything.
Then I tried to go to one station hp directly and connect from there, in this case www.etherbeat.com -> it works with the listening links they provide there, but not with the etherbeat.com link provided via the media library.
Now whats wrong? The Problem is independent of which station I choose, it fewtimes works, but mostly not. I wonder if the servers are just full, but they cant be *all* full, can they ?

It's the servers at Shoutcast that are playing up, rather than the station itself.

Internal links from the Media Library are not being loaded, but external ones from the station's website are.

but ess.tv for example is only reachable by the media library (at least it says so on the ess.tv homepage). How is it possible to connect to it then?

I'm not too familiar with the TV listings, but if a station is not providing a direct link itself then you're stuck until the servers are sorted out at Shoutcast.
