stupid me, output question

Winamp seems to be trying to write everything to a file rather than playing it.

I cannot figure out how to change the settings on preferences. The only output I see is in the CD ripping tab.

Please help, help, help

Prefs(Ctrl+P) > Plugins > Output > select DirectSound and close out. Close and Restart Winamp.
