I know you are sick of hearing about it...iPod

Hello, I live in a cave and just read I can download from an iPod to a PC with winamp v5.13 and ml_ipod plug-in.

however after searching, I find no instructions 'how to'

found instructions on everything else...so how do you do it?

currently if I plug an iPod into my computer, the iPod starts downloading from iTunes (i don't know if this happens with iTunes closed, but I assume iTunes will open and start its thing)

I have music on my iPod that I lost in iTunes, rather than re-downloading 300+ CD's again...I'd like to know how to do this without the iPod talking to iTunes and replacing the songs on the iPod with the 1 CD currently in iTunes.

TIA for anyone who takes the time to explain this to me.

WTF is this a non-talked about subject?

winamp just ate my iPod; it doesn't talk to iTunes and trashed the songs on iPod.

I highly recommend winamp for anyone using an iPod

Hi there.

First off, please leave the attitude at the door if you want anyone to help you.

The forum for ml_ipod is here. I'd suggest trying there.

Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway.
