I've installed winamp 2.72 and when I did I lost the "enqueue in winamp" option on single or multiple files. it works on directories though. A known problem? Also, the "enqueue as default" option in preferences doesn't work, it still replaces the playlist with a single song. I've also just installed windows 2000 at the same time as the new winamp, could that have anything to do with it?

Yes, I'm sure Win2k has everything to do with it!
Try this: (Win9x directions, not sure of Win2k equivalents) Close Winamp Goto Start -> Settings -> Folder Options -> FileTypes tab Scroll down for : Winamp Media File Hi-lite -> click "Edit" If there is an entry in the Action field for "Enqueue in Winamp", hi-lite & click "Set Default" Also check that the settings are the same as those described below. If there's no such entry: Click "New" Action = &Enqueue In Winamp Command line = "C:\Program Files\Winamp\winamp.exe" /ADD "%1" Click "Okay" Back in the original "Edit" box, make sure that: Content Type (MIME) = audio/m3u Default extension = mp3 Hi-lite "Enqueue In Winamp" & click "Set default" You'll probably also have to repeat the above routine for "Winamp Playlist File" (m3u, pls) As I say, the location of these settings etc may well be different in Win2k, so you may have to dig a bit deeper to actually find them. Stupid M$ p.o.s. ![]() Now open Winamp Check that "Enqueue as default" & "Dir context menus" are checkmarked. Try again! Let us know how ya get on! |
