URL history

is there a way to clear the history in the "play url" feild? thanks

Yes, you'll need to manually edit them out of winamp.ini (Winamp root dir).

RecentURL1=

etc

(close winamp first)

where do i find the .ini file?

cant find it in root directory

hummm i deleated the urls and left the "RecentURL1=" stuff and the urls are still there in the drop down menu. do i need to restart my system for the changes to take effect? i did it with winamp closed and ive restarted it twice. thanks

In the installer options, did you setup Winamp for "shared user settings" or "separate settings per user"? If the latter, then you'll need to edit the winamp.ini in the %appdata%\winamp folder instead.

Just type/paste %appdata%\winamp into the explorer address bar and hit Enter, which should take you to:
C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Winamp

If it's not that, then it sure beats me... 'cos it works fine here, heh.
