I have an old notebook computer I want to use to run Winamp in my car.
Will WinAmp run on a 486sx 33MHz PC? |

Ummm...no
For one thing you would have to install at least Win95 on it, and you would have to use Quarter Bit rate and Mono, but I doubt that would even work. if you have any luck it would be with a DOS or console Linux based system. |

Running Win95 on it is not a problem.
Do the DOS or Linux versions work with PalmAmp for remote control? |

i really doubt it would work very well... i've got a friend who runs an AMD200mhz and he can't record MDs properly coz the mp3s skip all the time... and i've already reduced his winamp to the bare minimum of resources... (he still bugs me)... even his napster player skips...=]
