WinAMP freezes system

hi guys!

i have problems with winamp since a few versions, sometimes it freezes my system completly without any warning...
anyone the same problem?

here's my system:

AMD K6/III 400MHz
256 MB RAM
Via Apollo 3 Chipset
SB 128 with Ensoniq 1370-Chip
Voodoo 3 3000
Haupauge WinTV PCI

OS: W2K Professionell

Installed Software:
Nero 5.003
BattleCom Client
VC++ Builder 5
CDRWin
ICQ 2000b
Paint Shop Pro 7
DU-Meter (messueres UP/Download rate)
Napster
NDS 3.0
WinTV Software /moretv
some other tools and games

how ever... it crashes while surfing or doing nothing...
i can see no pattern. and remember it freezes my system completly, only a hardware reset can help in this situation..
