Streaming through a remote or proxy server?

I want to stream my broadcast through an online server to conserve my bandwidth at home and allow for a LOT more users to connect to the stream. If I only stream from my computer, I can only have about 4 people connecting before everyone starts lagging.

So, I'm asking if it's possible to stream to a different server, which pulls the stream from my computer.

I'd want it set it up, so that I could stream my broadcast to the web server, then the web server splits or copies the file and distributes the stream to whoever wants to connect.

The main problem is I don't know a single thing about setting it all up. Would anyone know, step by step, how to do this? Or could anyone give me some links to direct me to where I could find out, or if there's any servers that would provide this service?

You need a stream host (a company that hosts shoutcast servers in high bandwidth data centers)

http://www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts

I also highly recommend the host in my signature below.
