Files with unicode names will not play over unc path

Issue: Files with unicode names will not play over unc path. Reproduced on Winamp 5.23

Method:

1) I have a file called "少女心 Nekomimi.mp3" (other files fail too) on a share called \\nitro9\incoming\

2) Drag file onto winamp - Winamp displays "??? Nekomimi.mp3"

Workaround:

Rename all files with unicode names to iso-latin names. Or use Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic (WM10 and Media Player Classic seem to work just fine using the same method).

Yes, Winamp's Unicode support is far from complete. It is slowly coming. There should be major improvements in 5.24.

Good to hear that, I've being waiting to get rid of all the "????"s in my playlist display for years.

Just a note, the 5.24 released today was a security fix. Unicode is coming in the next feature release, be it 5.25, 5.26, 5.3, etc. depending on any bugfix releases in the interim.
