Limit to open songs

Just upgraded to Winamp 5.24 and the first thing I run into is a string limit in the open dialog for multiple songs.

The string limit is somewhere around the 32,726 character mark.

An error is returned saying that a song in the list could not be found. This is because the song's name is cut off, due to the character limit, so winamp cannot find it and the whole opening procedure fails.

Lucky I keep the old installers

Going back to 5.05

Apparently, the limit for Windows' Open Files API is 32k characters:

Strange that, because there are no ill effects when I use winamp 5.05 on the same OS with exactly the same song list.

I wonder if having OLE plugins installed for v5.05 but not 5.24 has anything to do with it... I'll test.

This is most definatly a problem on the Winamp Side.

I have tested various versions of Winamp on the Same set of songs and the same O/S. Following are the results:

Winamp 2.95 = Works Fine
Winamp 3 = This bug occurs.
Winamp 5.0 - 5.09 = Works Fine
Winamp 5.1 - 5.3 = Bug occurs.

I am currently using 5.09 because any version above that has this bug.

Every version has this bug, it's a Windows bug not a Winamp bug, as already pointed out.

I've installed many many input plug-ins, and I can reproduce it with every Winamp version.
