That was the worst haircut ever.

So I was bored today and it's been getting hot. I decided to get my hair cut, just a little trim on most parts but I wanted the back cut very short, but the front part of my hair kept long. (At this point my hair is down to my chin.) I go into SuperCuts and tell the lady I want the back cut very short but to generally leave the front how it is. So she goes about her cuttings and all is looking well, when she asks if I want the sides/front layered. I agree, big mistake. Before I know it she takes off five inches of the front. I ask what she's doing and she says layering. At this point I don't give a shit seeing as I've already had a horrible day and this is just one more thing to add on top of it. By the time she's done, the back of my hair is very short, the front of my hair is very short, and the middle is long as fuck, the same length it was when she started. I left there, came home pissed as hell, to screaming babies and noisy obnoxious kids. I yell for them to shut up so my head doesn't implode from the level of noise.

I finally quiet them down enough to get the scissors and start chopping at my already mauled hair. After about thirty minutes of precise self-hair-cutting I got it to where it looks halfway decent.

I still look like a short haired douche. This is why I like keeping my hair long, no dealing with bullshit haircuts.

Sorry to hear that. At least you didn't sprain your ankle/foot at work, like me.

I used to have longer hair. Not as long as yours, but long enough to give me lots of grief. After years of dealing with it, I finally just had it all cut off. I recently bought myself a ConAir hair trimmer, and now I cut my own hair every week or so. Grade #1 all the way around. So much less hassle.

Hope you get your hair back to the way you want it soon.

It stays.

I went back at it with scissors about an hour ago and cleaned it up. I think I can live with it for a couple months until it grows back to a length I'm content with.

I've had my hair screwed up by idiots a couple of times. The last time I had my hair cut was one year ago, when my mother cut it in half (to reach slightly above shoulder length from all sides). It actually looked quite good. And before that......oooh...... I didn't cut it for 2 and a half years. Something like that. Even though the last "real" (done by someone trained for that) haircut was quite nice, I've had two completely botched haircuts before that, and I really didn't and don't want to do another one soon. Maybe I'll cut it all this summer though... maybe.

And trust me, you look like a bit of a twat with that 'stache (no offence).

Always take a picture of what you looked like when you liked your hair.

Be very specific and picky. Be vocal. Chat with whoever is cutting your hair. The more you talk and listen, the better you'll be able to explain to them what you want done with it.

My kids cut my hair. Luckily I am past caring what I look like. Maybe the dragged-through-a-hedge-backwards style is fashionable?

go to a decent hair cuttery rather than supercuts.

Hair salons specifically for men are becoming popular.

Also, lose the 'stache.

even if you don't have "salon's for men" go to one, you'll usually find supercuts haircuts to be completely inferior once you do.
why, you ask?

1. if you don't like how the person does it, you can simply ask for someone else next time.
2. THEY GET PAID A LOT MORE.

and lastly, your biggest fear should not be what your peers think...

Fuck that, I wear it because most people don't wear them.

And it gives me an excuse to say "Who wants a moustache ride?" It also gives me a chance to get fists in faces, as well as pepper spray in my eyes.

Skry, it does not look that bad. My worst hair cut was going to a friend of my mother's house. She pulled my hair back into a ponytail and cut above the ponytail holder. Went from hair down to my knees to looking like a Marine in 2 minutes. <shudders at the memory>

That sounds horrible.

One good thing about getting long hair cut: It takes minutes off washing it/letting it dry, and it isn't as heavy/hot.

LOL. One pic and the consensus is:
You're hair's not so bad; your caterpillar lip is atrocious.

It's not that having a 'stache would be bad, but the fact hat you can't grow one is. You look like Adam Morrison.

I'm really just trying to help you out here man.

No offense, but I think you'd look better with even shorter hair (like half an inch long from the top). But then again, that's just my opinion.

This is a sig of some nature.
