Well, of all time I would definitely have to say Cannon Fodder (old DOS game. It ruled!) But if you're talkin recent, that would have to be MDK2.

Freecell and Minesweeper.

The Descent series is pretty cool, too.

And of course, there's console emulators, but those aren't games in and of themselves.

Alice is a very good game IMO. When I downloaded the demo for my little sister, I was expecting a kid's game.

Little did I know what was to come....To this day my little sister is afraid of the real Alice.

BTW, you gotta love that Cheshire cat in the game.

That's a toss-up between Quake II and Quake III: Arena for me... Love 'em both. Nothin' like a good old shotgun-shellin', chaingun-choppin', rocket-eatin' deathmatch!

New/old would be asteriods on the atari classics cd I have. But i'm an old vidiot from way back. I can remember when pinball machines cost a dime and there were only 2 of them out at the time.

My newest game would be, combat flight sim, Played online at the ms gaming zone.. Or nascar revolution...

Favorite PC game... let's see, would have to be Gorrilla Gorrilla Banana back in the old DOS 5, BASIC days. That was a great game. If you're talking real graphix, then I'd have to split a pint with Lemmings or StarWars Rogue Squadron.

I won't say anything that someone else has said... And note that these aren't necessarily my favorites. Some are still awesome; some were just milestones - important at the time.

Civilization (the bomb)
Major Stryker (dat's purty nice)
Doom (of course)
688 Attack Sub (...)
Scorched Earth (YYYEEEEAAAHHH!!)
Prince of Persia (took me many years to get past the first couple levels)
Mech Warrior 2 (duh)
Stellar 7 (on my 286.. awwww yeah!)
Solar Winds (I still wish I could get a full registered copy of that)
Test Drive 3 (horribly addictative back in the day)
X-Com Terror From The Deep (boo-yah!)
Duke Nukem (not too interesting anymore)
Wolfenstein 3d (now = yuck)

Amiga *heh*: Alien Breed 3D & Worms.
NeoGeO (anyone knows?): Metal Slug series.

Oh, Half-Life is pretty cool, too .

Peace.

Need For Speed... the entire series

My favorite games of all time, though, were on the Commodore 64 - there was one called "One-on-one" - it was a basketball game. There was also one (don't remember the name) where you did the summer olympic games - swimming, pole vault, 100m dash, etc. Whole neighborhood used to get together during summer break and play those. I guess I'm dating myself...

After a little searching, I'm now the proud owner of a copy of Civilization for Windows and the full version of Solar Winds.

Original Quake. I played way to much of this game. Major reason I lost my scholarship in college. But well worth it. I still play today. About the other Quake's, Quake 2 I can't stand and Quake 3 is alright.

Doom and Doom 2 = best games ever!
runner up is Warcraft 2

btw, Alice is great, but too messed up for me. Looks like a game for people who do drugs all day.

BUT the best game of all time is a toss up between Chrono Trigger for The SNES or Original Arcade Frogger
