stopping title updates
Hi all.
Is there any way to prevent the shoutcast server from noticing that a new song is being played, so it won't add a new title to the "songs played" list? The reason I'm asking is that I'd like to be able to do short ads/promos in between songs, but have them all appear under one slot/title in the "songs played" list, like "11:59:10 (Ad break)". If I don't, the title of the last "real" song trails off as new ads are played. I've tried setting the same TITLE metatag for the ad-files, but what I get is several "(Ad break)" in a row on the list. I realize I could edit the ads together in an audio-editor, but it's less flexible. |

If you use webcasting software like SAM3, you can use a PAL script to send titles, and then ignore (don't send) Ads. Not sure how you would accomplish that with Winamp/DSP though.

well we're really talking nsv; I source with sc_nsv, which I don't think has an option like that. That's why I wondered if it can be done by modifying sc_serv or the actual files.
