Windows out of reach (out of screen)
When you play videos that have the same resolution or higher than your screen (eg. if you use "fraps" to record a gameplay video in 1024x768 mode and that's also your screen res when using Winamp), it happens, that the main player window resizes to show the video an all docked windows (library, current playlist, ...) are moved out of the screen.
After finishing playback, these windows won't be moved back and even after winamp restart they aren't reachable since winamp saves their last position .Switching to old skins let's you gain control again, but you have to use the old skin _forever_, or reinstall (quick & dirty is enough) winamp to be able to use the modern skin. Possible fixes are: 1) moving back all docked windows after playback 2) limiting size of main window while playing videos (can be resized by the user after autoscaling) 3) Automatically detach video screen when playing Highres videos 4) docked windows aren't moved when playing videos 5) "Reset Window State"-Button, to reset saved window size and position. |

Thanks,
but there's still al little problem... I just resized all windows after installation and exited Winamp (so it should have saved those Datas to "C:\Programme\Winamp\studio.xnf" As I change Winamp windows only once (after installation), I wanted to mark that file as "read-only". But this file doesn't exist?! I also tried to search for that file in all subdirs of "C:\Programme\Winamp" but the search returned no result?! hast it been renamed in one of the last versions? |

studio.xnf should be there in the Winamp root folder, as long as you selected 'shared settings for all users' in the installer options.
If you selected 'separate settings per user' then studio.xnf will be in the %appdata%\winamp dir %appdata% is normally found at: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data and is a hidden folder by default though you can just type %appdata%\winamp into the address bar and hit Enter. |
