Stereo playback
Hello,
I have my computer hooked up to my TV/Surround sound setup and everything is great. The only problem is that by default, the stereo sound on winamp is being played through all 5 speakers (fronts, center, and rears), when I only desire playback through the two fronts. The only way to achieve this is to go into my windows and/or soundcard settings and switch the speaker setup from 5.1 to 2/2.1, and then back when I want the surround again. I'm just curious if there's a way or a program I can DL to keep my computer set at surround playback, but have Winamp (or any other program I choose) for that matter to selectively only have stereo playback? My specs are as follows: P4 2.2 ghz, Windows XP SP2 1 gig ram latest winamp version soundcard: CreativeLabs Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum with all the latest drivers and software Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

creative control center and turn off cmss 3d...it routes the output to all speakers instead of what you want. You should be able to just have stereo in winamp and surround in applications that support it.
