Radio/shoutcast, and "Online Services" browser issues
1. sending a radio station to a playlist (Send to: ) does not send it the title - all I see is the url (bookmarking it works correctly, though). To reproduce, start a shoutcast stream and right click on it in the current playlist, and send to any playlist. It seems redundant to have both bookmarks and playlists, since they accomplish the same thing, and mean twice the maintainance. The only difference is that one doesn't work.
This might be related to the issue here: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=250820 2. Not exactly a bug, but annoying. Whenever I buttonup on anything in the new "Online Services" browser, it needs to do tons of work to select (100% cpu for about 100 ms). Just left click on a title and impatiently wait for it to get selected. Also, after right clicking on a station to make the menu come up, and then hovering over something else, the tooltip kills the menu (again, not a bug, just feels wrong). The menu also doesn't have all the features that it used to (same as the current playlist's context menu did if I recall). The only reason I upgraded to this version was because all the radio stations dissappeared from the old browser. I hate to insult the creator of the new browser, and I know from experience that it's hard to write anything like a web browser, but it's clunky and feels more like microsoft than winamp! The reason I always stayed with winamp was because it felt clean, like an older program, but this seems to be changing. Maybe switch back to the old browser for the shoutcast stations? or at least send all the stations to older versions of winamp when they request it. Thanks for reading. |
