midi files not playing in 5.24
I don't know if it has been submitted before, but...
I use Winamp to play midi files of songs that I am creating on Guitar Pro 5. Till Winamp 5.23 included, all the midi files I have played correctly. However, in Winamp 5.24, all my files refuse to play till the end, and some of them simply get skipped by Winamp. Attached is a zip with my files. |

Yes, it has been reported before, and is already fixed for 5.25
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....15#post1965315 I'll add it to the Known Bugs thread. |

Go for it. I'm pretty sure it should still work for 5.24...

Ok, I've put a link to it in the Known Bugs thread,
and I might as well put the same link here... [EDIT] Link removed. Use attachment in Benski's post below instead Nullsoft MIDI Player v3.13 (in_midi.dll) (unzip to the Winamp\Plugins folder) |

It's small enough to be a forum attachment, if you want to save some bandwidth

Nullsoft MIDI player 3.11 [in_midi.dll] has not any problems.
I compared latest version 3.11 with Nuulsoft MIDI player 3.07 newest versio has not any bug. old version had some bugs but this version has not previous bugs. Very clean... |

But Nullsoft MIDI player 3.11 HAS a bug. You are posting in the bug report about it!
And it is a BIG bug, because some MIDIs will not play AT ALL. Could you PLEASE stop your trollish behaviour to add some nonsense to any thread you come around? eeeee eeeeeee eeeee eeeee eeeee 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 88 8eee8 8e 8 8 8eee8 8e 8 8 8 88 8 88 8 8 88 8 88 8 8 8 88 8 88 8 8 88 8 88 8 8eee8 |

My MIDI files don't play either. I had established most of my mp3 files using the older Winamp version. Then when I updated to the 5 series, I found I could get no sound when I select the song and press play. In fact, the counter does not react at all. I would hate to have lost all those downloads. Help! Ron

Please link to/attach a zipped sample MIDI file
and also confirm that you are using either Winamp 5.24 with the fixed in_midi.dll or Winamp 5.25 public beta which includes the fixed in_midi.dll (and is probably an even newer version). |

Midi file NOT ending in WinAmp but fine in other programs
Midi file NOT ending in WinAmp but fine in other programs
See my posts in the WinAmp Technical Support forum, which has examples of the problem. The first posting has the worst example. I am using the latest version of this midi, downloaded two days ago. The problem is not that they do not play, but that they do not stop playing at the correct time. I have some examples where instead of 3 or 4 minutes the tune plays and then keeps hold of WinAmp for another 5 or 6 hours, unless I come along and force WinAmp to move to the next tune. RsH ![]() See the other forum for the files... no point in posting them more than once. |

rsh, don't post the same things in 3 threads, crossposting is against the forum rules. That you've posted this 3 times, doesn't mean, that you'll get faster an awnser.

and the post made by craigf in one of your other threads gave you as much as we know since the purchase is done by a 3rd party so you'd need to go to them (as was linked to).

@ Ron Uhlenhopp
Why do you keep posting in this totally non-related thread? Your other posts were moved to their own thread in the Winamp Discussion forum, where you received a reply. Please stop posting in this thread - unless it's got something to do with MIDI Files Not Playing. |
