After thinking there was a bug in my code that grabs the mpeg header info for an mp3 ... (I was after all using winamp as the definitive) I find out its winamp thats wrong.
I have an example of an mp3 file that displays as 320kbit on the winamp IDtag screen (which i was using as my guide) and 128kb (which is correct) on the main winamp display. Obviously the logic in picking up a valid header sync is different in the ID tag screen ... it seems to be picking up an invalid one in some instances. I have the mp3 file if you want me to send you an example. Great product by the way, killed many an hour listenin with it I have. toodle loo (: |

Do you have a site that you could post the file to for us to download from?

Justin says to e-mail Denny about the bug: denny@winamp.com
And of course be sure to ask him if it's okay to send the MP3 before doing so (standard netiquette). |
