Phantom drive access - how to stop?

I just updated my winamp the other day (5.24) and ever since that it now tries like crazy to read from the non-existant drive B: now, i dont have a drive B, and i naver have had one.. what the hell is winamp trying to do? and PLEASE how do i make it stop? its making me think about moving away from winamp and after so many years with it i dont wanna do that!
