Has anyone encountered this bug?

WinAmp 2.7 has a few problems operating in Windows 2000.
The most notable is that it will freeze if you attempt to cue a list of mp3s while an mp3 is playing. And, often when it does freeze, it is necessary not only to close Winamp physically, but also to go into the task manager and remove it from processes (even though it may no longer be listed in applications).

Is there a patch for Winamp in Windows 2000?

I've had the same problem but I don't think that the problem lies with Windows 2000.
I've discovered that my winamp freezes when a new song in the playlist starts with another amount of Hz.
Therefore it is a fault of winamp itself.
Could you please check this and let me know if this is the same reason in your case.
