Treat ext. HD like Portable Device?

Is there any way to have Winamp see an external HD as a portable device?

I keep most of my music on 2 external hard drives (to save space on my laptop's C drive). One large, wall-powered drive that is permanently set up at home, and one small, USB-powered drive that I carry in my laptop case. I also keep SOME mp3s permanently on my C drive.

Since my Media Library is different depending on whether I'm home, work, etc. I end up with a lot of dead links. I would rather my library only show files that are CONNECTED to the computer. Ideally it would treat the HDs just like a portable device.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
chris.

pmp_usb can actually, included with the new 5.25 Beta.

Though, I am not sure if it supports subfolders and the such, I really haven't used it. It is meant more for portable devices and USB Flash drives.

pmp_usb does support subfolders based on metadata. It can place files in subdirectories automatically. You can set it to your liking. I use: E:\MUSIC\<Album>\## - <Title>
