Sorry about that. Typed it fast in the midst of confusion. The website is still not working, which is Shoutcast.com. I am getting the following when I try to enter the site:

Unable to connect to Shoutcast DB server
MySQL Error: 1040 Too many connections
Session halted.

The Shoutcast server was giving me some issues for awhile, but it seems to be working right now, although the same song has been appearing for the last 3 hours on it!!

I don't supposed "they" would ever consider adding capacity. BTW, AOL Music, which owns 100% of Shoutcast, has close to zero awareness even of what Shoutcast is.

If you are concerned about listing yourself in the shoutcast YP to find more listeners and get exposure then you are out of luck. This has been broken for months - although it works for some it is unreliable.

Better to do some legwork to promote your station - make sure you are listed in the DMOZ directory - and other directories - do a google search for 'free streaming directory'

Good luck.

StreamFinder.com - Add your radio station to our free directory - get more exposure and listeners

We all are People, who offer Services without any cost, so stop saying it each time, "shoutcast.com is for free" because, thats no special thing!
Thanx a lot

if you run the shoutcast server from home it is free.

the shoutcast yp is a free listing that is provided by aol and not something any host should be charging for.

you do not need to pay anyone to be listed on the yp..
