ID3v2 Interface in Winamp?

Hi --

With a new computer I have installed the latest version of Winamp (v5.24). I'm having one problem with this release: in previous incarnations of Winamp, I had access to ID3v1 and ID3v2 track tag information by right-clicking and selecting "View File Info..." In this version, however, I get a very limited display: a single tab devoted to ID3v1, and no information for ID3v2.

Is there a way to view and edit ID3v2 tags on Winamp v5.24 that I am missing? Is there a way to do this in the quick and convenient manner that "view file info..." provides?

Thanks in advance!

(I hope this is the appropriate forum, as this is a software question, and not a technical question. I searched the forums and could not locate a thread about this issue.)

Did you install any third-party MP3 decoders, such as MP3Pro? The two sided (ID3v1 and V2) window is still there. Heck, that han't changed since ID3v2 was added.

Sounds a lot like the File Info/Tag Editor window for InMad third party MP3 plug-in.

Uninstall the plug-in (in_mad.dll maybe).

JonnyMac, that was it -- thank you for such a fast reply.

I installed InMad to play with its equalizer, but I decided I didn't like it, so I never used it again and it slipped my mind.

It never even occured to me that this would effect my file information display.

Thanks a lot!
