Winamp File Icons (need help)
All of my audio files are associated with Winamp, and in Winamp > Prefs > File Types I have my icons set to the blue icon with the small winamp lightning bolt in the bottom corner.
But when I look at the files in my folders they are all white and none have the blue tint on them - how can I change this? |

Yeah, seeing since at 16x16 you really can't get the logo in the corner you get the while one with the squiggle.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I have always had the blue icon. Now they have all suddenly changed to this ugly white icon and I have no idea how to get it back to blue again. I've tried in winamp prefs but it doesn't change anything when I try.

Increase Windows icon size then, because the small version has always been white.
When viewing files... Right Click (in the white space / empty area) > View > Icons | Brought to you by ^V ^C | The one... the original... no seriously! |

This still hasn't helped.
Usually I can view my files however I want (as a thumbnail, list, or icon etc) and it will always be blue. Even if I clicked View > Details (making the icons very small), they would still be blue with a little black thing in the middle. But now whatever I view my icons as they are always white, even though I have it set to blue in winamp. |

What is the Color Quality (depth) set in Window's Display Properties > Settings tab?
Try toggling to a lower color setting and back to a higher one. |

Oh my God, thankyou!!!! I toggled from 32 bit to 16 to 32 again and it worked.
Kind of a random solution, not that I'm complaining, cheers :-) |

You're welcome
![]() Here is some FYI. Windows has an icon cache file. Sometimes that can become corrupted or fail to update correctly. Toggling between color depth is one of the ways to update or rewrite the icon cache file. |

No Winamp icons at all!
Recently I have a problem with the display of audio files. All icons of audio files are displayed as not associated with any program (let us call this kind of icon as "empty"). However, I have associate all audio files with Winamp (in Winamp's General Preferences/File Types Dialogue). Moreover, Windows Explorer shows that all my audio files are associated with Winamp (in Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Nevertheless, audio files, as for instance mp3-file, in the folders of Windows Explorer are displayed as "empty". What is the cause of the problem and is there some solution?

The problem is solved now
I just wanted to say that the problem about displaying correctly audio files that are associated with Winamp is solved now. DJ Egg's attach file "iconhandler_fix.zip" fixed indeed the problem. You can find it here:
