Automated Jukebox on Linux Server
Hi everyone,
I've looked around the forums and Google, but I couldn't find anything that matched this question - I hope someone can help. I run a Shoutcast server on a linux box, DJs are connecting great and the system works perfectly. On top of this I'd like to stream MP3s from the linux server whenever a DJ is not connected. If a DJ connects it should cancel the jukebox behaviour and return to normal programming. It creates an excellent seamless station to listen to. I know it's possible, and I've seen a couple of stations do this. How is it done? Is there an easy solution, or should I write something myself? If the latter, could anyone offer some pointers please? Thanks in advance Xig |
