Winamp Process Not Closing

hi. Every time i open winamp5.3, if i have already opened it before and closed it, it doesnt open. i checked the running processes on my computer and discovered that when i close winamp, the process continues to run though it appears to have closed. if i manually end it, it will work fine, until the next time i try to open it. this is 100% reproduceable for me.
i have experienced this on two computers, 1 was a celeron566 and another a athlon thunderbird, niether had any service packs installed
