Playlist Help
Hi, I've been using Winamp for as long as I can remember, but one thing that still annoys me is this little fact. All my music come from real CDs, and I rip them into WMA format. The problem is that when I load my playlist, the names don't load until I scroll down to the item. Like when I generate a playlist, instead of saying this:
752. Stone Temple Pilots - Unglued (2:34) 753. Stone Temple Pilots - Army Ants (3:46) 754. Stone Temple Pilots - Kitchen Ware & Candy Bars (8:06) 755. Stone Temple Pilots - Press Play (1:20) 756. Stone Temple Pilots - Pop's Love Suicide (3:43) 757. Stone Temple Pilots - Tumble in the Rough (3:18) 758. Stone Temple Pilots - Big Bang Baby (3:23) 759. Stone Temple Pilots - Lady Picture Show (4:08) 760. Stone Temple Pilots - And So I Know (3:57) I get this: 752. 09 Unglued.wma 753. 10 Army Ants 754. 11 Kitchen Ware & Candy Bars 755. 01 Press Play.wma 756. 02 Pop's Love Suicide.wma 757. 03 Tumble in the Rough.wma 758. 04 Big Bang Baby.wma 759. 05 Lady Picture Show.wma 760. 06 And So I Know.wma The titles don't come up unless I manually scroll down then it starts loading. I was wondering if there was a feature to let this all preload instead of having to scroll down all the time. Thanks!

Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Titles > select 'Read metadata when file(s) are loaded into Winamp (can be slow if lots of files are added at once)'
or Playlist editor: click 'Sel' button > Sel All / Select all (Ctrl+A) click 'Misc' button > Misc (Opts) > Read extended info on selection (Ctrl+Alt+E) When all info is read, you'd best save the playlist to store the title info, or Winamp will need to read all info again when you load the playlist next time. |
