Can't connect/download Help File
Bought program 10/18/06. Spent 2 hours on two different tries to get help file. All it does is flash and jitter and nothing comes up. Spent another 3 hours tonight searching various forums and still no info.
Seems like a simple email request for help would do a lot for pr. All of this stuff with back and forth emails just to get an answere to why a help file can't be used absurd. I don't have that much invested so i may dump it |

we are here to answer any questions you would like answered. here. just remember to use the search at the top of the page, as we don't particularly like answering the same question a few thousand times over. official FAQ official walkthrough winamp related forums |

Right-click Winamp > Winamp Help
That menu entry should open this website in your default browser: http://winamp.com/support/help/50/Winamp5.htm If that doesn't work, that suggests that either .htm files are not properly associated to a browser, or that your default browser has problems displaying that page. See if the link above works for you. Those Help pages aren't particularly helpful anyway: it's only the simple things that are explained there, things that you can probably figure out yourself as well. Moreover, some parts are outdated (just like the Walkthrough page linked to by Rocker, btw). some helpful Winamp starter links |

For Rocker: If i hadn't spent a lot of time looking at Faq's and searching the various forums i would not have posted my problem. If you don't have help assistance why does this feature connect you to the internet. Since it is connecting and trying to download something i would guess there would be something there. From your reply it appears you have a bad attitude. Perhaps you should get into another line of work. Service and pr for Winamp is not your strong point.
For Siebe83: Appreciate your reply and will try your suggestion. I would mention that i tried 3 browesers netscape, firefox and explorer no luck. Also i downloaded several other programs during the same period and had no problem. |
