Winamp Pro requires purchasing a registration key.

Get the "Full" version which is totally free.

i suggest you understand what I say before you waste your money on napser/itunes..etc crap. if you don't understand what i'm saying, your on the internet. google for answers, thats what its there for.

you can't convert or burn those files because they are locked by DRM(digital rights management) protection.

this makes it illegal for us to make a player in which can decode these files and put them on a cd, or convert them to other formats.

for you, this is not a good thing as it reduces what you can do with the music you paid for.

just say you bought an ipod, and you went and bought music from napster. unfortunatly ipods don't play wma files, so you'd need to convert it... but you can't because of the drm protection.

another example
If you have DRM protected files locked to your computer and your computer breaks, or a virus infects your computer so bad that windows needs to be reinstalled. you'll never be able to listen to any backups, because the files are locked to play only on the original windows. This is a problem when you can't play the songs that you paid for.

don't buy music from anywhere that has drm protection. It's just making the greedy rich companies even richer and taking away your freedom to do whatever you want with the music you paid for.

its less trouble and easier of you just pirated the music in a format in which everybody uses(like mp3). without all the protection schemes which don't work and make life a pain in the ass.
