How can I play Radio in WinAmp

Hi all

I have tried to connect to http://media.trytel.net/980kruz in WinAmp and it will give an 'error syncing to stream]' message, whereas WMP will take it up by default.

Ditto for http://www.streamaudio.com/stations/asx/kcmo_fm.asx

I would love to use WinAmp for listening to radio as I am used to it's controls.

Please advise.

Hi,

Both links open and play in Winamp fine for me.

Make sure you're running the latest version: 5.31. These are WMA streams so you need the Full version with WMA support.

If you're bored go here or, if the boredom is more serious, here.

Hi siebe83

Thanks for your reply.

I use only the Lite version. Are the WMA available as plug-ins rather than loading the heavier WinAmp versions?

Nope. WMA Support only comes with Full or Pro.

Download the free Full installer, select Lite on the Installation Type page (Screen 2 of the installer), then checkmark Windows Media Support under the Audio Support section of the installer options.
